Victor studied Sociology at the University of Ibadan from 1976 to 1979.  He obtained a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos and later, a degree in Law from the same University.  He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1996.

Following a 6-year HR work experience in a private company in Lagos, Victor joined Nigerian Breweries in 1986 as Personnel Manager, initially at Headquarters Lagos and shortly after moved to Kaduna as the Brewery Personnel Manager.

Back in Lagos in 1988, he was appointed to the role of Job Evaluation Manager, then successively as Remuneration Manager, Industrial Relations Manager and lastly Manpower Development and Training Manager.

He transferred on cross-posting to the Heineken Corporate Headquarters in Amsterdam in 2002. Whilst with Heineken, he worked as Job Evaluation Consultant, HR Policy Advisor, Manager Corporate Social Responsibility and finally as the Regional HR Director Africa/Middle East. He returned to Nigerian Breweries in 2008 to the role of HR Director/Executive Board member.

Victor attended various Executive and Senior HR Leadership Development Programs including the Unilever General Management Course at Four Acres, Surrey UK; Cornell University New York, Lagos Business School, IMD Lausanne Switzerland, London Business School, Harvard Business School and the Institute of Directors(IoD)London.

He was elected Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management in 2003 and is a Past President / Chairman of Council of the Institute (2013 – 2015).
